Recent reports in the news have highlighted the horrendous cruelty to a puppy that had its legs cut off and left to die.....Tomorrow there will be countless demonstrations all over Turkey protesting against lack of mandatory prison sentences against these people who commit animal cruelty.Hayed has obtained permission to join this protest.At noon tomorrow there will be a demonstration outside the courthouse in Çalış.Please come along and support us,the more people the louder our voices.

That's great news grizabella. if I were in Calis I'd be there no hesitation. I have followed this story on Facebook and shared on Hayed page to raise awareness of this barbaric cruelty. Truly heartbreaking. :'(

The timing of this protest could not be more bizarre, two days before an election with tensions running high in many parts of the country.

Has anyone, since the state of emergency was implemented, ever been stopped by the Polis or Gendarme and asked to produce their passport ??
(Apart from as part of a traffic stop or at this demo)

My eldest and girlfriend were stopped whilst travelling to Olu by Dolmus yesterday, so yes, stops are definitely happening.

To reply to the posts about demonstration whilst there is a state of emergency and 3 days before the elections........The relevant permission was given by the Karminak to hold our gathering.Permission has to be given for any gatherings in Turkey,even for charity events here.Thankyou to everyone who came to support us and lend your voices to the thousands of people all over Turkey who joined in the demonstrations against animal cruelty.Appologies for the statement being read out only in Turkish but unfortunately we didnt have the time to get this translated but will be posting the translation as soon as we can.Thankyou to Pinar Urav for giving a brief synopsis of the statement for our English speaking supporters who were there.
