Got to agree batman this place is really nice I have just returned after a 3 week stay and used the Uzumahn on quite a few occasions, nicely laid out upstairs and a lovely courtyard, nice after an afternoon stroll to just pop in for a pint or two.

Its almost opposite the Üzümlü Belediye Firin(Bakery)which is on your left before you get up to the Mosque (cami). The entrance to the Üzümhan is on the left side of the library and round at the rear where there is a nice garden seating area or up the stairs to the indoor area.

Hope you find it cos its simple Turkish fare at reasonable rates and they do try to make you welcome.

Visited this cafe a couple of times last week.  Really good value and a great welcome !  Four of us - chicken snitzel, meatballs, lamb chops, followed by great lemon pancakes, a couple of beers all for 52 lire.  A nice atmosphere.   Hope they do well. :)

Sorry to be a fly in the ointment, but we went there a few weeks ago and found the service to be poor, the food rather bland and Eric was bringing his boots up all night with food poisoning (only had 2 drinks all night).  Speak as we find.

Eric and Fi:-\

As you say Eric and Fi must speak as we find used almost every night for my 3 week break in April / May found service first class and food portions have got bigger and bigger only heard good reports, but I suppose I would as people who have bad experience tend not to revisit. :)
