Maybe so, but if the only things I had read about Uzumlu were the few topics on here in the last couple of days, it sounds like hell on Earth. Luckily I know better than that, but to a newbie it may be different.

Is the Uzumlu section really THAT bad, on the whole?  Wont making the Uzumlu a members only section make prosective buyers suspicious?  Which defeats the object of making it members only.  Can't the people who contributed to this row be PM'd about it and leave it at that.

True, I think the Cement Factory has helped to boost negative posts and some in-fighting in the area.  But I think that if the Cement factory had have been proposed in (say) the Hisaronu area, there would have been a bit of a blow up there.  It causes strong feelings, people have spent a lot of money for their dream homes and are justifiably worried about the outcome of all this.  Different people react in different ways to this sort of thing.  Some people try as hard as they can to help, some think the problem will sort itself out.  When you care strongly about something and try to do something about it it's like putting your head above the parapet.  There will always be someone prepared to shoot at you.

There is good and bad everywhere, I was in Belfast on Thursday and someone tried to rip me off. I bought goods and the bloke on the till informed me it came to £3.16. I gave him a tenner and he said "dead on, thanks". How dare he, it certainly was not 'dead on', it was £6.84 too much.

I never say when I'm going anywhere. I did find time to have lunch in one of my all time top 10 restaurants in the World (and I'm not joking here) - Mixed grill at Blinkers in the City Centre :D You don't have to be posh to be good  ;)
