Ever felt like a pillock

had a loveley early start this morning ,up at seven for a lovely ride down to kas ,to renew our visa ,paid our dues and had a great three hours in Meise, came back ,picked up passports and made our way back to Uzumlu , so far un eventful !! wait for it ,on checking pass port they had seen that we had a month left on our old visa so they just stamped that one , what a pillock i am !!!the moral of the story always check your passport when you get it back!! realy looking forward to the drive again on Friday

Calvin, suggest you ring Altug as they rang us to try and find out whose passport they had made an upc*ck on visa today. We were on same boat as you. Phill

None of you ripped off with residence visas then? We were and once our furniture had arrived never needed them again!4,000 YTL down the toilet!

If I understand you correctly Chris, you ate talking about the residence permit, -the blue book.  You would need it for getting in and out of the country and need to produce it for if the Jandarma stop you.  We have had to show it quite a few times in the year + we have been here.  Unless I have got the wrong end of the stick with what you mean..

been in contact he is worried that one on the boat only has a few days left on his or her visa , thats the sort of chap he is!!! not a prob for me, Cheers Calvin
