Bee Eaters

Have you heard the cries of the bee eaters. They arrived at end of August and are building in numbers daily. You hear them before you see them and if you have binoculars get then out because they are a beautiful bird. Bright green and similar in looks to a King Fisher.
Look out for flocks high in the sky catching the insects.

Last year I couldn't work out what was making the sound.  Then suddenly after a few weeks I spotted them flying past the villa and sometimes perched on the electric cables.  It seems they get more noticeable as time goes on, then suddenly, they're gone.

Rindi,  I mean a 'real' photo taken in uzumlu, not one imported from a bird watching website !!!  (I'll start saving, I hear you are a bit of a lush..... ;): :):D)
