Hi all, I visited Uzumlu last week for the day while staying in Ovacik. It was absolute heaven! So serene, you are all so lucky to live there. Just up the hill where a husband and wife were making shawls, I asked where the winehouse was. Typical Turkey, I ended going in, drinking his home made wine, nuts and grapes! While being dressed with every tablecloth and shawl in the place!
It was so funny, I bought a lovely bag and another from the nice young girl across the way.
I loved the Winehouse, how old is it by the way?
I met an english man and his Turkish wife, inc 2 children and 2 aunties! I ended up going looking for a trout farm in Eren? with them? We managed to find it but they said they oly open in peak season, we then went to Fethiye for fresh fish!
Left my hotel at about 10 in the morning and got back at about 8pm, after missing dolmus', getting lost numerous times, but it was worth it, what an adventure!  :)

The winehouse is apparently one of the oldest remaining buildings in Uzumlu Jenny. It is believed parts of it date back to 1992

My dear wife and sister in law and myself visited our friends plus their two cats, three dogs and four ferrets in Uzumlu last week what a lovely place to live and such nice folks Turkish and English, long may it remain a haven of peace and tranquility it was nice to see a place that had not been spoilt by over development. Thanks to all in Uzumlu who made us feel so welcome.
