Çmlik Closed Down?

Heard today that the Çmlik has closed?
If this is the case Alec, we are sorry to hear that as the new chef was making a noticable difference and we had some lovely meals.
If however, you are still open for business, please let us know on the forum.

Alec told us he was closing after New Years Eve.
Real shame as his new chef was putting out some great meals but as in all business if it's not well used then it can't continue.
Real shame to have 1 less place in Uzumlu to go.
Thanks to all the great nights Alec helped us put on and good luck.

That's so sad.   I was hoping word would get round about the new chef who was very good.  We are extremely disappointed.  Best wishes Alec.

Thanks for everybody's kind comments and support.  Yes, I did the calculations and concluded it was not economic to keep going.  A pity, as it has been a great (and educational) experience for me, and I have made some good friends in the process (and I hope not too many enemies!)

Maybe I should go back to my real profession of teaching.  Turkish classes, anyone?
