Title: An expensive admin error for EasyJet!
Post by: JohnF on April 20, 2017, 09:39:45 AM
Poor old EasyJet.  The Edinburgh - Dalaman flight on Saturday afternoon was a nice shiny new A320, virtually factory fresh with not much more than delivery mileage on it.

Unfortunately, someone at EasyJet forgot to register it with the relevant Turkish authorities to allow it entry into Turkish airspace.  This resulted in a diversion to their hub at Milan for a quick aircraft change.

Net result was a three and a half hour overall delay, which (if everyone claims compo) equates to 186pax x €300 = €55,800.

Will we be refusing the €300..?  Will we F.

Ouch! I travelled on one of their new A320 from Palma on Tuesday evening. Lovely plane and spot on time, even getting into Glasgow 10 mins ahead of schedule.
