As mentioned, I have been trying to sort out a trip to Izmir for Christmas shopping - and was informed that to not go to Ephesus while in that neck of the woods would be daft - so with Christmas coming closer, here is the proposed itinerary:
Izmir shopping & Ephesus trip - 3 days, 2 nights commencing 14th December 2006
A visit to bustling Izmir, full of history and high street name shops and department stores.
A visit to Efes, once the commercial center of ancient world, is a highlight of any visit to Turkey. Efes proudly houses one of the seven ancient wonders of the world; the Temple of Artemis(it was rebuilt several times, in its latest form dates from the third century B.C.

DAY 1:
08:30 Departure from Fethiye
Lunch at Cine town
14:30 Arrive at #304;zmir and check - in to hotel (Excellent quality 4*)
City tour
Dinner at Hotel
DAY 2:
Breakfast at hotel and free time for shopping

DAY 3:
Breakfast at hotel
09:00 departure from hotel
10:30 Visiting Mother Mary House
11:45 Visiting Ephesus ancient city
14:15 Lunch at Selcuk town
15:30 Visiting #350;irince Village ( which is very famous for home made wines and wine houses - many wine tasting opportunities)
22: 00 Arrive back in Fethiye
