Title: Help needed to find a book !
Post by: pookie on September 28, 2009, 09:51:45 AM: When we were in Kalkan a few weeks ago, I picked up a lovely book on the Mosques and Churches of Istanbul, but having misplaced several marbles recently, can't for the life of me remember the name of said book !! I have been kicking myself ever since for not buying it, especially now as we are planning a trip to Istanbul at Easter. I have trawled through Amazon and other relevant web sites but can't find it. Does anyone have the foggiest what book I'm talking about ? ! A long shot I know, but you guys seem to have the answers to everything !!!

As for the title, I'm afraid it got lost in the haze of wine and sambuca after a lovely lunch....:D something like Churches of Istanbul.....but that doesn't seem to throw anything up on my web searches.

yep; I love this forum - another good laugh today!

I wish I had more time to spend on here - would be great to have all the off the wall responses pulled together - maybe a book! Could be better than Bridget Jones Diary!

I'll probably have to drive down to kalkan at Christmas and see if I can find it again (any excuse !).
