Paid my first visit to this lovely place last night with some Turkish friends. What a great setting.Really good childrens play area too. They bring the food ect' to your table, along with a lit BBQ.My friends did the cooking and I did all the hard work. Those Raki bottles are heavy.
The Cin Bal is well worth a visit.
:)

What did you go on in the playground Kev?:D
-
Strangely enough the restaurant is named after the brew that the original owner used to distill at the back of the kitchen. Cin Bal means Honey Gin.
-
Ooh, interesting. Thanks for that info KKOB (must try to remember).
-
Yummy meze and the man cooks the meat, perfect!
-
Cin Bal is my fave BBQ restaurant in Kaya! :P

We love this place. Your on holiday but you don't mind cooking your own food on the BBQ.
-
You must visit, cook your own food. Very good.
-
does anyone know if cin bal is open at this time of year.?
-
Yes, they're open throughout the year.
Just bear in mind though that they can get very busy on Sundays.
-
It's at it's best this time of year too, all inside and warm :)
-
As opposed to all outside and warm during the rest of the year ? ;)
-
Yes.

Oh I love Cin Bal! We usually go in the afternoon so it's not too busy or smoky, and we usually get Cesme to BBQ for us. We always take visitors there and they all love it too. I LOVE their mezes, and the cacek (prolly not spelled correctly) is AH-MAY-ZING!
Oh my, I think a wee visit is due...

Could someone remind me of the location, is it easy to find, we are out again in 10 days and based on the reviews, we fancy a vist. We have also heard that there is another great place located in Kaya, apparently it is in a hotel complex and is open all year around, vague I know but here is hoping!

Coming from Hisaronu end it is a right turn fairly early on when arriving in the Kaya Koy conurbation.
Google Maps location at the bottom: http://www.fethiye.co.uk/places-to-eat/104-fethiye-dining-gems-cinbal-kebap-restaurant-kayakoy.html
(I am wincing, waiting for KKOB to look and say "it's nowhere near there" :D )

I think the other place in Kaya you're talking about is Izela/Gunay's Gardens where my husband works. They are open Thursday to Sunday at the moment but will be open every night from 1st April. They provide free transport so give me a shout if you want my hubbies details to arrange something.
Also have to agree that Cinbal is great, I love their lamb tandir - gorgeous.
-
Really helpful thanks, I have a car so will be taking the opportunity to visit both places.

Is there a Dolmus runs past.
-
There is Ally, we used it last year and asked the driver to drop us off. Its about a 150m walk from the main road where we were dropped. Dolmus from Fethiye :)

Went to the Cin Bal last Sunday evening, managed to get a table, just! They picked us up from Ovacik and returned us as well free of charge. What a superb evening and meal, we asked the waiter for everything traditional Turkish and we were not disappointed. Excellent selection of mezes to start, delicious over baked lamb, rice and salad as the main, traditional Turkish deserts, a lovely bottle of house white (35tl), all in 100tl for two. I would recommend this place to anyone and felt the price was very reasonable for such an excellent meal.
