Turkish meteorlogical office showing 40.4C at 2pm today and thats taken in the shade near Zakums restaurant.
The funny thing is only the BBC seem to agree as all the other ones I looked at show 31C only, strange.

After 5 years there Des I can honestly say I despise the summer heat that was one of the reasons we moved there in the first place. I love the weather here and am happy to leave the heat and sun to you guys :)

Imagine building a huge bonfire, getting it going really well and then standing in the middle of it.
That's how hot it is here 8) and its getting hotter as every day passes this week :D

Phil's fancy thermometer thing hit 50 in our garden today. It was seriously hot all day!

That's why we choose May & September, because temps like you are talking about just now, would absolutely kill me! I'm having a panic attack just reading about temperatures in the 40' or 50s.
