Title: Car Tax
Post by: Firo on February 01, 2012, 21:34:46 PM
Have just realised that our Fiat Doblo which has Kamyonet on the car documents has been charged as a panel van.
Can anyone else who has a Fiat Doblo/Kamyonet tell us what you were charged?
Panel Van 6 months 384 tl 1-6 years old under 1600cc
Kamyonet  6 months 259 tl 1-6 years old under 1600cc
Big difference!
Thanks

If you go to the calculator, they have taxed yours as a 'Panel van' too, but as a 0-1900 engine size.  As a 'Kamyonet' with an engine of 1300 ours should only be 259TL not 384TL.  Yours should be 521.50.  The link is;

I would keep quiet on yours if you know what I mean wink wink.

Been in to tax office today and it seems all Doblo type cars with Kamyonet on their car documents are only classed as Kamyonets if they have 2 seats! If your Doblo type vehicle has 4 seats then it is now a panel van and you are taxed accordingly. So if you haven't had to pay any back tax (as a panel van is more in tax than a Kamyonet ) think yourselves lucky!....Changed 2 years ago.
We were not told that we had to change the car documents so we are leaving it as it is.
