Title: Please No More "Friend with Van" Posts
Post by: Scunner on February 22, 2012, 10:43:54 AM
Please can we avoid posting about friends taking a van to the UK and having space for others. It's a BAD idea, both for the forum and for the driver. If active members are themselves doing such a run then they can post about it, but no more nameless drivers - if we can't tell the UK Border Agency who it is when they ask, they might get a bit shirty with us. We are a website about a little resort in Turkey, not a place to arrange consignment deliveries across Europe by anonymous people. Try Facebook, plenty of expats on there.

Thanks.

Good call.
Always worries me when people mention taking goods into/out of the country for others.  Maybe it's fine with members who know each other well but certainly not for someone you don't know.

There wouldn't be enough room in the van for it's hay anyway
