If you fancy going somewhere a bit more upmarket I have just had a tour of the newly built Tiryaki which is off the main Baris Manco Bulvari on the unmade road leading to the Sunday market. People may remember it as the notorious Ocakbasi hotel. It is a boutique hotel and has been furnished to a high standard .I am now looking for someone to treat me to the penthouse suite.!!!!! The restaurant is beautiful and serves English Turkish and Italian foods and it is certainly a place where the ladies can dress up for a night out .I checked out the prices and not overly expensive eg steaks 32-35 . There is also a snack menu for lunchtimes .Lovely Hamam and steam room downstairs. No I am not on commision but it just looks a lovely place to go for a change from the usual bars .

Had a tour of it myself and i think its really nice a pleasant change well worth a visit.

I'll take you out to dinner next time I'm over Mavis, wont have far to stumble home lol. Is it now all finished or still work in progress? Seems only yesterday it was still a demolition site!
-
I will take you up on that offer Mark as I am pretty sure Julie won't mind a table for three. Yes it is all completed now and looking good. I owe you an email so will get one off to you both soon .

Is this somewhere up the road to the Market? which road is it off? Yaki Market? or further up?
Also is there some really nice things on the menu apart from Steak? the thought of which would not drive me there.
-
If you're lucky Jacqui they might have Chateaubriand ,I've heard thats nice, don't know what it is though !!! ;)
-
it is at the top of sokak 971 just up from La Diva hairdressers.

There are some lovely photos on here of this hotel (but it's not cheap!!!):
http://www.booking.com/hotel/tr/tiryaki-boutique-otel.en.html
And I don't really fancy the King's Suite (at 200 euros a night!) - click on the room description, and a really ghostly-looking man appears in each of the pictures! Spooky! :o
-
Looks beautifull, but by god the prices :o
a standard room at £167.00 GBP per night !!!! for september ....
not sure they will get many bookings...
-
Looks gorgeous but think theyre computer generated impressions rather than actuals! if that price is correct its bonkers ! The location is not ideal as its off the beaten track and theres no sea view- which is IMHO the number 1 criteria!

Yes, Im not sure I'd book a hotel where all of their pictures seem to be computer generated.

Quite - and with a daily room rate of £167 you can get the Mutlu in May/October for that for A WEEK!
-
Exactly! the penthouse at the Delta is cheaper and the view cant be beaten! Wont stop me having a nosey when we're at our place in September though!
-
Me too, although I call it "research" ;)

Hi everyone!! Yes Tiryaki Boutique hotel is I think best place to stay so far in çalis area. My sister is the Manager at the Tiryaki hotel... the only negative thing is about hotel its not by the sea side. But the hotel is a very high standard. The rooms and restaurant are the most classy rooms and penthouse in this area without a doubt ...
hotel rooms prices are like :
Standard rooms are 100 euro
Club rooms are 150 euro
King suite is 250 euro
these are room n breakfast prices ...
If u like to spend quiet time while you are here no doubt this is the place u should visit and experience...
-
Is it ready yet Teo?
-
yess its open and they got good bookings for this summer...
-
Not very quiet at the moment as they are laying the new road outside:D

I went for dinner last week at the Tiryaki Hotel, there has definitely been no expense spared. Everything has been very well thought through and is of a very high standard. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, loved the one with the jacuzzi! The service in the restaurant was excellent and the meals were good and not expensive. The is a big conference area which could be for business use. Would be ideal for that kind of customer too

I've just put our June dates in and it would cost £1795 for a standard twin or double (18 nights).
-
Must be rich Russians they are looking for - I can't see many Brits paying that really.
-
Might be Russian owned anyway !

I have walked past this hotel(on route to the pazzar) every week and seen the the progress. Its a beautiful hotel, small but perfectly formed. Why anyone would want to stay there at those prices and in that location is beyond me. Its opposite a scruffy bit of land, hoards of folk, cars, bikes all day Sunday for the market and there is always a pond of water to cross(by the nursery) to get to the main road.
-
I think it sounds super. What a change to have somewhere upmarket and smart in the area with decent servers rather than the usual motley crew of male pervs who think they are Gods gift to all and sundry. I will definitely give it a try.

Anything that improves the quality (and extends the variety) of places to stay in Calis must be a good thing. It would be nice to know that people who spend £168 a night for their hotels are choosing Calis as their holiday destination. It also means that people with money will be spending locally. Good luck to the hotel, I hope it does very well indeed.

Building was converted by Murat Tiryaki who has built a few apartments in that area . Bought our apartment from him and he is a really nice person so I wish him well with his venture although like other commentors on the forum the prices look a bit steep.
-
Hotel must have taken on my thoughts cos outside the hotel has been totally block paved and the 'pond' has been filled in with gravel. The block of flats opposite is having their garden wall replaced and the garden a tidy up. Still van loads of decorative items going in)would like to know the supplier lol).Official opening was Friday which I missed because wasnt here. Did anyone go.
-
I suppose its the same as most calis hotels no lifts no disabled facilities ,what will they all do if they go into europe all close down .
-
Pine Hill in Hisaronu have indoor and outdoor jacuzzi suites and are around 50 pound per night. Views of the mountains free.

. We stopped in the delta penthouse last September only for 1 night luckily enough the only night they had a vacancy for was our anniversary, fantastic experience and would love to stay longer but out of our budget but would definitely recommend it

Can anyone tell me please what the Tiryaki Hotel in Calis was before it was a hotel? Was it just wasteland?
We use to walk this way to the msrket on Sundays and i seem to recall an old blue building which may have been a hotel or possibky a restaurant on the hotel land, the words Ocabaski seem familar to me on the blue building, hubby is saying im wrong!
We have loved this hotel we were booked for one night but ended up stsying for two, prices have defo dropped since the thread began as we paid no where near that!
Price includes a free half hour in the Turkish bath and sauna took us a while to realise no one was comng to actually do the scrub part and the bubbles out of the pillowcase which i just love but after blaggong a bar of soap and a mitt we are now Turkish bath experts! :)
