Does anyone know if this month Fethiye is once again hosting the brilliant World Music Festival on the Culture centre `square` ? the last few years its been excellent entertainment and I really hope its on this year .... any known dates anyone ?

The 8th Fethiye Festival kicks off on the 14th May with a carnival parade in Fethiye Town. The parade will set off from alongside the canal near MacDonalds at 4.00 pm and will wind its way down the main road to the big mosque where it will then turn and go past the PTT and Belediye offices before turning left onto the back one way road. It will then return up the road at the far side of the fruit and veg market (opposite the PTT) finishing in Beskaza Square at approx 5.00 pm.
There will then be the start of the music festival in the square that evening. How do I know all this? The 3C's have a float in the parade! :)
A full programme of the music festival will be issued by FETAV shortly

There will be a live music concert starring Scott Jeffers Traveler and other musicians at the Taste of Fethiye Craft Fair in Kayaköy, Friday 15th May.
The Craft Fair starts at 10am and the live music concert will start at 2pm.
Evening performances 14-17th May will be in the Fethiye public square

For those that want to see Scott perform...
Fethiye Festival 14 -17 May 2015
Traveler - A multi-cultural musical experience fusing Gypsy, Middle Eastern, Celtic, Greek and Turkish style; their performances are intense, exotic and adrenaline-driven.
May 15th: Scott will be playing solo in the Taste of Fethiye Craft Fair's live music concert sometimes between 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.(Kayaköy )
May 15th evening (22.45pm)
May 17th afternoon (5pm of 6pm) Traveler will be playing at the Beskaza Square in Fethiye
Thursday to Saturday performances start at 9pm in the evening in the public square and at 3pm on Sunday according to the programme.

For those planning to come to Kaya on Friday....
The Oludeniz Dolmuş coop has said it will have more buses running to Kaya on Friday.
If you are coming by car please park and walk as there will be no parking in the main square (that's the area off the road where the camels are and Poseidon used to be - apparently not there any more).
Craft people can unload but then need to park outside of the Meydan (square).

In my opinion an excellent night at the music festival last night and again in Kaya this afternoon.
Just to flag up a change to the schedule for those interested in seeing Scott Jeffers play he is on tonight probably the first set (9pm) instead of tomorrow (Saturday).
