There was a planned power outage in the whole of the Fethiye and Seydikemer region today, between 7.30am and 2.30pm.
Very few cafes able to do cooked food and we noticed many people having to resort to cold alcoholic drinks in the various local hostelries in absence of a working kettle. :D
Yesterday was pretty shocking weather wise with strong winds and lots of rain for most of the day, but today more than made up for it, dawning clear and bright with temperatures around 22C.
We went into Calis for the market as my nearest market on Saturday in Patlangic was a no-go in the bad weather. Thought I'd take a few snaps for you guys in the UK.

Menthol, those pictures really are fabulous, and after a few days of coping with tumultuous rain and a leaky roof, they really lifted my spirits. With your permission would like to copy and post a couple to my FB wall.

I really want a decent camera as I now have the time and definitely the environment to take photographs. And I think a couple of friends will be able to help me with instruction.
