Title: Thomas Cook re IPads, Kindles etc

I have read that it is now ok to have iPads etc in your hand luggage on flights back to the UK , could someone who has travelled lately confirm this please. One of our friends said there were conflicting notices in Dalaman Airport. On arrival it said no iPads etc in cabin but then when going through security at boarding gate it said iPads etc must be charged and switched on!
