Golden moon hotel overbooking
« on: July 31, 2010, 10:29:36 AM »
I am staying at the golden moon hotel for two weeks on tuesday. After reading two seprate  reviews on this hotel I am really worried about going. Both reviews have mentioned turning up last week and been told they have overbooked the hotel. They were then offered a room down the road without any facilites, they discribed this as a hostel. They siad there were five other couples with the same problem. Does anyone know if this is a common problem with this hotel. I have emailed the hotel to comfrim my booking and had no reply. I am dreading turning up there on tuesday now!

Zoe I have stayed at Golden Moon a couple of times, lovely small friendly hotel, I personally haven't heard anything in the past regarding overbooking?
Did you book direct with hotel?
Not sure if this us the email address you used,
info@goldenmoonhotel.com. That's on updated website, maybe you would feel better if you called them? +90 252 613 3235, hope you get it sorted Zoe,

Thanks for the reply, I didn't book with the hotel direct , I have booked with co-op travel. I have voiced my concerns with them and they have given me  a 24 hour contact number. That is the email adress I used, I might have to give then a call. Maybe I am wording over nothing and last weeks bookings were a mistake. But I just don't won't to stay in a hostel for two week.
