If you're not a fan of Marmite, take vitamin B tablets which contain thiamin, an ingredient in Marmite which seems to act as a repellent to mosquitoes.

We tried the tablets about 4 year ago took them for one month before we arrived. Did no good, still got bitten. No matter how many deterrents people advise, it is a proven fact that only products with Deet. With deter mosquitoes.

I tried the hot spoon on the bite once but obviously it was too hot and I burnt my skin, which then looked hideous for ages! I don't know which was better, the pain of the bite or the burn!

Don't wear perfume - I don't and never get bitten.
