The Apprentice

Am I the only one who wonders why it took Alan Sugar so long  to choose a girl making a cup cake in a box as the winner of the show? Shops and cafes are overflowing with sweet junk already!

I did think that this year's line-up was the weakest batch of candidates ever....felt they were chosen more for the potential entertainment value than their skills or business plans.

I did comment on FB that they were the most inept two finalist ever. I also commented that people will still be eating cake for decades after Courtney has run out of ideas for novelty junk!!! Finally "Ridiculously Rich by Alana". I bet she's glad her mam didn't call her Ethel!!!

Nothing wrong with the name Ethel.... It was my lovely late Mum's name.  She was a great baker too. No one would have turned down a "Cake by Ethel". In my family.   ;D  ;)

I don't think the production company is, no, but AMS is.
I know who works on the programme and she says he has always insisted on a certain level of involvement, free rein in decision-making etc, but that has been eroded over time. I think that's been particularly evident this year.

I would like to see a show where companies were put in the spotlight to provide proper apprenticeships to young people. Real positions that taught a skill!
