Actress Liz Smith, who played Nana in The Royle Family and Mrs Cropley in the Vicar of Dibley, has died aged 95.

I was watching the episode where Nana dies in The Royle Family the other day and was in tears.She was a lovely character and it is sad that Caroline who wrote it is gone too at such a young age.

I had to skip the end of the Queen of Sheba the other night as it sooo sad,
I was really upset when Caroline Aherne passed away this year and now nana ( though she had a good innings)i do hope they will be "up there" together now....
