Travel Insurance
« on: January 25, 2017, 13:56:17 PM »
I have just renewed our annual, all-Europe travel insurance. Now I knew it was going to be high because of all the medical conditions I have to cover. However it was higher than I expected - up from £551 to £672 and that is without having made any claim last year. That's an increase of 22%. I am very pleased that Staysure is still willing to take a gamble on me so I am not complaining. But I am wondering if anyone else has renewed recently and whether they were faced with this sort of increase.

Virgin travel insurance is up about 18% this coming year.  So getting close to your 22%.

And they cover you for jeep safaris, bungee jumping and white water rafting - although they do restrict the personal injury element for elephant trekking  :)  They also cover scheduled airline failure, which a lot don't.

I did annual with insurewith after jacqui's Recommendation.  They were competitively priced and covered existing medical conditions.

Staysure gets very back feedback on the net.  A lot of people write that if they did get ill abroad they were not looked after by Staysure.  There is a very long thread on T.A. Dating back to 2014 with so many complaints.
We have not used them ourselves, so good luck, hope you will O.K.

They certainly looked after Colwyn in his time of need

I am glad to hear it, but it seems from the reviews on the internet, there are many people they have not looked after.
