Property sold - transferring monies
« on: March 14, 2018, 13:47:17 PM »
Hi.  Hope all is well with everyone.  So looks like we have sold our property which is great although feel sad - mixed emotions but saying that still in love with Calis so the place has not seen the last of us!

Anyways, I understand that I will have to pay some fees to transfer the monies from Turkey into our UK Bank account.  I do not think we have to pay any capital gains tax as have made nothing on it but would it attract tax of any other kind - apologies if this is a stupid question.

Many thanks for your help. Barbara xxx

We sold,no capital gains, transferred to UK account no issues,no tax .Think we did it correctly all above board so unless anyone says anything different it’s easy.Scunner May know more about this though.

Yes that is pretty much it - you already paid tax on the money you sent out (and there is a record of it) and no profit to tax so that is  all really.
