Dolmus pre paid card
« on: July 30, 2017, 14:04:17 PM »
we are due to arrive in calis on fri and wanted to clarify where we can buy our card from? in a post from early in the year it mentioned we could get them from somewhere near new migros? can you clarify where exactly? also does anyone know if children travel free on the dolmus. in the past we have been told not to pay for our kids (now 9/11)) but always feel a bit guilty so sometimes we pay!suitcase now out and getting in holiday mode, especially as not flight booked to come home yet!!!

Dolmuş cards are not compulsory. We still pay on the bus, i think you pay a little more but not much. If you prefer to use a card then i think you can buy from most shops but maybe someone on here can clarify that.

The card can be bought for at the SEMBOL market at the dolphin roundabout opposite the new Migros. The card can be loaded in the shop when you purchase it.   :)

On the Calis to Fethiye route you pay 2.25tl with a card and 2.75tl if you pay cash.

Kentcards are 5TL each plus whatever you decide to top them up with.

Yes you can save 50kuros on a one way trip, also saves you looking for change for the driver.
just get on and swipe your card on the machine,
It will tell you how much you pay and how much you got left on the card.

Not tried the below myself yet just copied & paste but should work & make it easier.
Android link didn't work for me just search kentkart in Google play

If you have a Smartphone, you can download their app, to top up your card, check your balance, check routes and nearest stops to you etc. It's really easy to use, and it's in English too!
This is the link for the Google Playstore app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details...
and the link for the Apple i tunes App. is
https://itunes.apple.com/tr/app/kentkart-mobil/id620440948… You need to select 'Mugla' for our local area.
