Title: Internet problems
Post by: Rindaloo on July 13, 2010, 07:58:38 AM: Hurrah! I am now online (for now), but my internet has been bad since Sunday night. I had so much trouble last night and this morning that I am wondering if it is 'me' or if the problem is with TTNET. Is anyone else having trouble??

Post by: Rindaloo on July 13, 2010, 08:04:05 AM: Yes it seemed last night that the Fethiye Discussion Forum was fine, everything else was slow or totally inactive. And this morning, up to 9.50 nothing was loading and I wasn't getting mail.

PS, I would have posted this on 'FDF' but I couldn't find the section on specific areas of Fethiye. Then I spotted I wasn't signed in, and then when I signed in, I could then see the Uzumlu section. Weird.

Also Rindaloo,have been told that you seem to have a slower internet speed in that part of Uzumlu than we have up here currently:(, are you aware of this at all Eric/ Rindaloo is it true[?]We currently get 5270 Kbps download speed and 510.3 upload speed using the auditmypc.com speed test.

I feel a visit by all of us to TTNet coming on if you have a better speed all the time..

Post by: Eric on July 13, 2010, 17:22:22 PM: It depends on what you are paying for. We currently pay for 2mbps and usually get 1.75, or 1.8 as Fi has said above. Are you paying for 5mbps?

Really bad connection once ours finally came alive tonight, but ducking & diving all the time. We had similar yesterday too! :(

Yes but we have separate laptops so we may be looking and answering the same things at the same time:D Confusing or what? ;) ;):D:D

Hands up all still offline.........

Update: I understand some people are back on. Maybe my router needs unplugging and plugging in. Or perhaps the computer just needs a technical kick.....[:(!]

Post by: peecee on July 19, 2010, 04:39:59 AM: Hi Lynne, after numerous phone calls to TTnet (wouldn't answer the phone, answered but in Turkish etc etc) eventually someone took my details and said they would pass thru' to technical dept. Had been advised to turn modem on/off a few times. Technies eventually reconnected me (without my knowing!) at around 8o'clock Friday.
Keep trying TTnet, someone will eventually help.
Assuming you have 4 green lights on modem?

Seriously the TTnet operators are not very good at problem solving I complained about the service or lack of it and they said they will get a senior to call me, well they did get someone to call but they could not speak a word of English and my Turkish is too limited so god knows what they were going to do, never mind back online and seems stable over the weekend just hope they don't start messing around again with it today. Rindaloo switch it all off by power source and then back on after a minute should reconnect fine, fingers crossed!?

Turns out it was more complicated in my case as the router had lost all its settings (I recon it didn't like the sheer amount of times I unplugged it, LOL), THEN there was some confusion because we changed our password (way back when) and they now say that THAT password isn't the current one *sigh*. Any hoo, I am now back!!!!!! Bliss!
