That would be on Astra I would imagine so you'll be needing a Sky box.

Would a freesat box do as well? Although I think only ITV1 HD is free now - the others are subscription. You can get all of them on freesat though.

you would need a sky subscription or card sharing receiver HD to get these as they arent free to view only standard definition is free  this is a money spinning idea from iTV so a freesat box will not do only iTV 1 HD is free and here you need aleast a 3mtr dish

Why a 3mtr dish for freesat? It uses the astra group as well I thought.

There are 4 satellites at 28 deg plus or minus a few seconds astra 2 d carries the main BBC ITV Programmes the beam for this is very tight and is meant for the uk only there is not enough room so a few transponders carry ITV programs on one of the other astra satellites but is soft encrypted ok for sky boxes
in the uk you can see all satellites at 28 deg as one satellte on a 43 cm dish in the south of the uk as
freesat is amied at the uk which you should not have any problem on a 43cm dish in the south the further you move away from the foot print the bigger the dish required as no two satellite foot prints are the same so down here so you require a big dish

Thanks - I knew there would be a logical explanation. So a sky HD box plus a subscription to their HD channels and a 1.5 mtr dish would be required .. or if you just want BBC HD and ITV1 HD a freesat HD box plus a 3 mtr dish (and no subscription of course).

In reference to one of your earlier posts Gary,I did a programme search on my receiver and can now get BBC2 as you advised.
