Title: 6 month extension to 90/180 day visa

Does anybody know at which point in your 90/180 day visa you are able to apply for a six month extension.  Can it be done near the end of your current visa or does it have to be done at the beginning.

Would also like to know as our daughter coming out in June for a week and also wants to come for a week at Xmas. She will have apply for a years residency during her week in June to enable this. New tourist attraction, guided tour of administrative and civil service buildings lol.

A residency visa can be done either in the first calendar month or the last 2 weeks of a tourist visa, I would assume this would be the same, but being Turkey, who knows??

Barbara, not sure why your daughter would need to do this, if her arrival in June & her arrival in December are more than 180 days apart, she can just get a new tourist visa in December. If not then the 90 / 180 day visas are still multiple entry, & as she won't be staying more than 90 days in the period, she can just reuse her June visa ie she'll get a 2nd entry & exit stamp on the same visa
