Title: So annoying

We have been waiting for confirmation from the family that they would be moving into their new home and apparently the kitchen units have not been installed yet !!!!. The carpenter accepted the work weeks ago and assures us he has all the materials ready but has been doing other work first. If he was unable to do the work when it was required he should have said so we are very angry. He has until this weekend to start and complete the work or it will be given to another contractor regardless of what materials he has supposedly bought. So near and yet so far it is very frustrating. Both boys were quite poorly because as soon as the weather gets hotter it causes great problems with their hands and feet but the good news is the eldest lad has had special boots made in Ankara and he has been able to return to school for the first time in weeks. Hopefully some good news about the kitchen units next week.

  The guy doesn't deserve the work, i'd be inclined in view of the special circumstancs to give him the heave ho

  and give the job to someone that can start now and stay with the job until finished, (and tell them CBF will be watching).    ;)  ;)    :)

Do hope it is sorted out soon, Mavis.

And also hope that the family won't mind if you are able to take a few photos of the finished house and post them for us to see   :)

This time of year is really busy for everyone and no one wants to turn away work resulting in exactly this sort of this situation.

The weekend is only a couple of days away but I would start looking for another carpenter.

Is it definitely skilled work or something a few handy men could do; maybe some volunteers could step in!

Oh dear.  There is always something or someone to throw a spanner in the works.
