Last year I brought Mrs Smudge (jellybean) a nice expensive 250 gig external hard drive and told her what it was for and how to use it.
After a month I asked if she had backed all her data up, (photos artwork etc) like a good girl she said yes.
Next month I asked have you backed your data up, she said soon.
Asked a week later to be told at the weekend, I warned how important it is to back up at least once a month.
I asked every month to be told as soon as she gets a spare moment.
Guess what happened last sunday.
Her hard drive crashed losing a years worth of data, and guess whos fault it is
,,,,,mine[?]
Seems I didnt warn her the drive can fail after only two years (I did
)
So be warned everyone back up your data regularly.
