This Sat Yesil Uzumlu (an organisation for preservation of the area) are putting on a homemade food day in the market place. Any donated food will be given to people to try and we will collect donations for the Yesil Uzumlu project. After that every fortnight it is planned to hold a similar event were the food and cakes etc will be sold and all profits will go to Yesil Uzumlu.
It starts at 2pm and if you have something you can donate please take it to the organisers at 1pm. Cakes need to be cut into portions.
This should be a great way to taste different homemade foods.
The Yesil Uzumlu organisation are here to protect the area and are looking for more people to join so if you haven't please go to the library with your passport and a spare photo and join. It is under their banner that we are fighting the cement factory and we need everyone to join. I think the cost is 12 ytl per year per person.
