Honesty in Fish Market
« on: March 27, 2008, 15:21:27 PM »
We went last night to the fish market for dinner. Receps, as usual. There were 4 kids in our group and one of them chose spaghetti bolognese because he doesn't like fish.

When we had finished, Recep asked him if he liked it. He replied yes, he  had enjoyed it.

"Really? Good. Nobody likes our bolognese".

Its a good enough recommendation for me!! Our kids love spag boll!! Is the restaurant named Receps? Where abouts is it if you are coming in through the main entrance from Paspatur? We have only been to Rukiyes place, but would like to try another this year..

Thats just the same as us! totally confused each time, cant tell anyone where anywhere is as it must have 17 different entrances! there used to be a huge great swordfish over the place we liked and we used that as a landmark- then they moved it and we were lost!

HAving recently spent 100 lira on half a kilo of jumbo prawns, 1 sea bass, 1 sea bream, 4 of the most utterly disgusting mezes some rock hard pide   a mediocre salad 1 glass of wine and one Efes, all enjoyed whilst being plagued by cats and the over powering stink of fish it will be a long time before we go to the fish market again for a meal.

Lynda

Would you like to introduce yourself in the member introductions section? It's not just good manners, it would be nice to read a post from you that isn't totally negative.

Sorry, I missed the 'new members' bit.  I'll go look for it now.
