The Calis Carnival Committee is issuing a challenge to all quiz teams and individuals in the area to prove themselves the best by taking part in the Carnival Grand Fun Quiz which is being held at the Mimoza Restaurant on Calis Seafront this Friday 4 April.
The winners who will be crowned on the night as "Calis Carnival Quiz Champions of 2008", will receive a lovely "gold" trophy to display either in their home or in a bar or restaurant of their choice for the coming year. The winners will also receive a round of drinks.
The quiz will kick off at 8.30 prompt and the entry fee will be 1 lira per person which will go towards Carnival charities. Teams will be limited to a maximum number of six people.
During the intervals you will be given the chance to purchase a horse for the following day's Grand National horse race being held at Aintree racecourse. There will be a food and drinks hamper for the owner of the winning horse as well as prizes for 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed horses.
We expect this to be a busy night so please arrive early to make sure of your seats, or why not enjoy a meal at the restaurant before the quiz starts.
So all you quiz teams and quiz buffs out there who think you are good, get down to the Mimoza Restaurant on Friday 4 April and prove yourselves the best!
