Donkey?
its realy very difficult to understand britons.
Some are talking about the noise of dogs and cockerels and others are having donkey.
Have you ever heard the noise of a donkey.
Turkish people don't let neigbours to keep donkey. If those britons have turkish neigbours i am sure that they will have many problems.

Hmm, that's odd.  We can hear a donkey near us and we used to hear one when we stayed in Kaya.  Never bothered me...  Now the blasted dogs that set up a karaoke each night, yes that does get on my wick, but if you ignore it you get used to it.  On specially noisy nights I realise how bad it is.  Nothing we can do about it.  Burasi Turkey.

Rindaloo  -  no its not a donkey up a tree, I think you were probably right with your first guess of Cicadas !!!!:D:D

(Got three Donkeys in the olive grove right next to our house, when the windows are open, its positively operatic !)

I am wondering, is that the Kevin and Maggie that use to look after a couple of villas in the village? We have met them several times when staying in the village over the past couple of years. If it is can you tell them "Hi" from Wendy and Halil and maybe we will see them again when we are over next week and staying in the village. Thanks

Yes you are right ''Burasi Turkey'' and there is too many thing that britons didnt now and didn't want to know about village life and village people.
I am sure you have seen many old women from village carrying wood on their back. Do you know why do they carry all these on back instead of having a donkey and carry on it. To understand these you must ask village people about donkeys, what do they think about donkeys, why they dont use them and keep them in village life. Also ask them please about sexual position of donkeys and village teenagers.
