is it possible to exchange money in Uzumlu??
or do you have to travel out??

No official exchange in Uzumlu but you might find one of the businesses will change it for you. Nearest is Fethiye or Calis.

You can change money at the village PTT- very handy if it is not too busy.

Is the exchange rate the same as everywhere else at the PTT and is there any commission. I had a big row in the exchange shop in Hisaronu one day. His rate was poor at the time and then he hit me with a commission so we had a big row and eventually he gave me my money back.

I hate being ripped off.

nobody likes being ripped off, i had a similar problem in olu a couple of years ago
