The PTT charge commission when changing sterling. You will definately get a beter rate here than the UK but I would recommend you change money commission free in Fethiye or use a Natiowide card.
Just bring enough for your first days to get essentials then get yourself into Fethiye for everything like cash and main supplies.

Hey, driving past the PTT and it was open!! They have a new pigeon hole system for the mail, so it saves wading through mountains of letters to find the ADSL bill! My only worry is if they mis file a letter into the wrong hole - we might never get it?! Aaaarrrrggghhhhhh......!

Hopefully this new bloke (who seems quite switched on), will notice a letter that stays in a pigeon hole too long and will redirect it.  -Fingers crossed.
