talk about being blinkered, he can't see past his nose end. Hopefully the outcome of the court case will bring it home to him! :)

I thought the in depth interview was very informative. I've followed the case as its been reported in the local press, like everyone else,so can only base my comments upon what I've read.He sounds like a very astute guy,he's obviously got the local Turks behind him with the lure of jobs etc. Also,if he is to be believed, the proposed cement works seems to have the backing of the authorities. He makes a big issue on the enviromental fall out,and how he's going to take pains to plant trees etc, perhaps he will, perhaps he wo'nt,obviously his ultimate object is to make money.Having said all that I sincerely wish the protestors all the best.

The guy sounds like a right t**t, and I don't mean twit! His logic is so full of holes it's laughable. Amongst other things I see that he has the ability  to predict which way the wind will blow so that the dust never blows towards Uzumlu! If he wasn't quite so powerful AND if this wasn't Turkey you could simply laugh the bloke away; as it is he seems to believe his own rhetoric and is willing to take on all-comers. Regretably the fight seems far from over.

The Dunkirk spirit seems to be sadly missing.
