Mr and Mrs Night - new date and venue!!

As you are aware this event had to be cancelled at the last minute on Friday as the owners of the venue concerned were unwilling to host it with the threat of rain.

The Carnival Committee have been searching for a suitable venue and are now delighted to advise that the fun event will now take place at Bostans on Calis seafront on Friday 23 October starting at 7.00 am - same format but different meal and different venue.

Recip has kindly agreed to host the evening (no problems with the weather this time as Bostan's can accomodate a large number of people comfortably inside and is cosy and warm).

He will be providing a meal of roast chicken, meatballs, chips and an assortment of mezes and vegetables for 15 TL of which he is generously donating 5 TL to the children's charities. Also if people wish to upgrade their meal to a steak he can do this for an extra 5 TL.

All those who booked last time who still wish to attend please e-mail me or Mercury (Anne) as soon as possible with numbers. Also any other people who wish to book for this night please do likewise as we can fit more people in.

This should be a good fun event so it will be well worth the wait

It is not too late to book your place at the Mr. and Mrs Night at Bostans restaurant in Calis on Friday night.

It should be a good night out - something a bit different to the usual quizes and discos.  The evening starts at 7.00 pm with a fun "Love and Marriage" quiz open to everyone with prizes for the winners.  This will be followed by a meal of roast chicken, meatballs, chips and an assortment of mezes and vegetables for 15 TL of which Recip is donating 5 TL to the childrens charity.  If you wish to upgrade your meal to steak it will be an extra 5 TL.

This will be followed by the main event of the evening at about 9.30. It is entirely up to you if you wish to participate in the Mr. and Mrs Quiz or not as couples will be invited to put their names into  a hat and then several of  the names will be pulled out to compete.  There will be a really nice prize for the winning couple.

Well anyone who missed the Mr and Mrs night missed a fantastic night out.  Graham you were a star in the making. We really enjoyed it and the thanks to Recip and the staff at Bostans and the food was brill. Thanks to all who took part. Oops nearly forgot. Happy Birthday. Oh yes Julie forgot as well. !!!!

Thanks to everyone who attended the Mr and Mrs Night. It was a great evening and we all had a good laugh.

It really was a good night and a great effort from the new committee members who organised it. Particular thanks to Anne, Barbara, Kevin and Grahame Norton (oh no sorry - he couldn't make it - they sent a substitute in a dodgey waistcoat instead )). The evening raised just over 400 TL which was great.

We would really like to thank Recep and the staff at Bostans for the excellent food and friendly service.  we were blown away by the surprise desert of hot fruit compote and ice cream - really lovely and I understand that the steaks were perfect.
