Curry and Cards Night - 28 February

An evening with a difference will take place at the popular Nil Bar in Calis on Sunday 28 February.

If anyone has ever seen the popular classic games show "Play your Cards Right" on British TV, you are invited to join in and try your luck on Sunday 28 February when Calis Carnival stage their adaptation of the popular game show  -  and if you are lucky you could win some super prizes.

The Nil bar are providing one of their famous curry's at 12 TL a head (with 2TL generously being donated to the Calis Carnival charity - helping local disadvantaged children).  Following the meal the fun evening will kick off at around 8.30 pm when people will be invited to put their names down to play.  There will also be a number of other surprises throughout the evening as well as a chance to win a bumper jam-packed English hamper.

Tickets for the Hamper will be on sale from 15th February. It really is a super one with ALL your favourite products from home. Also a litre bottle of Whisky is included. Tickets are 2TL each or 6 for 10TL. On sale at the Nil Bar. We are adding an "Open the box"  competition to the nights events and there are excellent prizes to be had. It will be a really fun night. Tickets are going fast so book now.

The meals for this event are SOLD OUT.  However anyone wanting to come down after 8.30 to join in the fun and games will be very welcome.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everybody involved with organising last night at the Nil!  We had a great time!  Special thanks to Kevin & Sue who gave up some of their much needed relaxation time to compere the night!

It was a fun night - again a big thanks to Susan and Kevin and also to Anne and Barry for organising the event and to the businesses that donated prizes.  Also a big thanks to Oznur and Serdal at the Nil who donated 2 TL from every meal - and the food was excellent and lots of it - we even had hot plates which has to be a first in Calis!  

For those who bought raffle tickets for the British hamper, the winner was Viv with white ticket number 93.

The whole evening and the raffle netted just over 900 TL :D
