Apparently it was stated over the loud speaker system on Wednesday that you have to make it known before the 10th March if you want a stall at the Mantar Festival.Calvin

I think there might have been misunderstanding...but no worry I will try to talk to mayor tomorrow (or latest Monday) to correct it...As far as I was aware the announcement was only to relate to food stalls. They want to give all these to the local villagers so that all the food is local turkish and they can gain some income from this. The stalls for handcrafts and for charities were not to be included in this announcement as these will be available to non-villagers.

Best wishes,

Neylan

I talked to the committee today as promised.
Please let me know the names by e-mail before 10th March, 2011 who would like to book the table in Mushroom Fest.
Each table will be 10.-TL/per day for the hand crafts (second hand will only be allowed on charity stools)...Foods will be only traditional by Uzumlu villagers and local types...We shall design the place for the charities which will be free again as last year...

Regards,
Neylan

Hi - just realised we will be in turkey for this festival, so I was hoping for a bit more information - is the fastival in the centre of the village? - what time does it all start? - I have looked at the website but nothing really on there. Some further info would be great I'm certainly planning to visit.

Hi Abby,

The fest will start with ceremony at the square on 8th April, approx 11am

But the morel mushroom hunting will organise on 6 - 7th April, pls book it now if you interested. There is a fest info office on the right hand side, opposite the mosque...You can get the daily programs for details there...Cadianda walking tours, meetings with the morel specialists, entertaintments etc.,

You can stay in the traditional village houses if also you need any accom during the fest...

Regards,
Neylan
