Uzumlu Ladies Group

Hi to all Uzumlu Ladies.

A new group is forming, were hoping that you will be interested. A little on the lines as the W.I.

Our number one policy is Uzumlu Ladies for Uzumlu Ladies.
All members will have a voice.

Ours aims will be defined by the members of the above.  Its primary function will be to assist the Ladies of Uzumlu whether Turkish or foreign in whatever need arises.

Here are just a few ideas

We will be fundraising to enable any future projects, activities or aid agreed upon by the members.
We will appoint a Chairperson, a Secretary and a Treasurer.
We will have an events organiser/s.
We can assist newcomers with our experiences.
We can utilise our partners' skills for voluntary aid.
We can organise trips, and activities agreed upon.
We can teach English on a voluntary basis.
We can help each other to learn new skills, i.e., handcrafts.
Any ideas by the members for the members.

This will be a social monthly event to be held at an appointed area to be chosen by the members.
We will answer to F.I.G. for any monies or expenditure.

First meeting to be held at Alyas, 14.00 hours, Wednesday 9th February.

Bring a friend, as long as shes female...sorry boys.

Hi I was interested in joining, but due to the venue wont be. How can we have a ladies group at a place where one of our Uzumlu women was treated so badly by the owner of this venue?? I don't know any of the details, just what she has reported and that it is still ongoing through the courts. This does not speak of solidarity to me. There are lots of venues in Uzumlu why not choose a less controversial one?
