I think they're stunning, but I was wondering if they would die in the winter temperatures here in Uzumlu.  Does anyone know how hardy they are???

Close to the house is best and then there's less chance of it being caught by the frost. Or, put it in a pot so you can move it if you want to.

Best place to buy is from Orman (Forestry Commission)on Antalya Road. Got a good bottle brush, 2 metres or so high for TL14 also lots of other trees, bushes and some plants. Phoenix palm also a bit more than 2 metres cost TL45, a lot less than from pezaj places.

i have two now for 7 years and have to prune each year. They are watered regularly and are exposed to the Uzumlu weather. We live on the plain and the winds can be cutting. Took about two years to establish themselves

Thanks to all for your replies.  Sounds like its a winner (as opposed to the Hibiscus that suffered a premature death during our first winter here).  We ALWAYS ask if plants are OK in Uzumlu, but its nice to have things confirmed.  Much appreciated.

They grow in the UK so why not Uzumlu?
