Hi all, we have put an announcement out on the PA system today 9.30am, in both English and Turkish. The council and Zabita are aware of the promblem. We have been doing intermitant searches around the areas, at all times of the day, morning, mid-afternoon, teatime, late evening and even during the night. There are several vantage points above the valley to watch any movement from. Also driving around and through the valley. But as its just us (me, Eric and Nick) its not so easy. Plus due to the heat of the day as well.
Help wise: Yes if would could organize a search either later afternoon/early evening when its less hot that would be great. Tuesday might be best so that we could organise as many people as possible. It would then be possible to have smaller search areas per group and cover a larger area.
The last most reliable sighting was on Saturday morning around 7am. They were on the main road travelling in the Cameli direction. There was also a report on here about a sighting in the village but it is unclear as to which day this was.
As the ponies have been missing for 3 days now they could be anywhere. We dread to think where they may be or what could have happened to them, hopefully they are well and waiting to be found. The task is going to be tremendous. Any volunteers to form a search will be greatly appreciated. As you will understand we are beside ourselves with worry about the ponies.
Also as our printer is Black and White, if someone would not mind doing some colour copies of the mare and some of the foal. (see Pg 1. for pics) that would be great.
We can put them up at the PTT & council office here in Uzumlu, PO Garage, Chemist, Barbers etc and also in Incakoy too. Also some of the Cay houses.
Lulu is now spending most days and nights on her own in this field. She is becoming very distressed and unhappy.
Any other suggestions offered.
Christine & Eric
