Could we have a little reminder as to what these are used for and most importantly, where people can take them please?  I don't often change my glasses but have a couple of pairs I planned to bring with me.

What an excellent idea asking at Tescos - I will ask my optician when I go in....

Carole and Lynne thank you both so much. I know with the weight restrictions it is difficult to bring extra items over but it is appreciated. This year we have paid for all the eye tests ... medication...and glasses plus transportation to the various hospitals for over 300 children. The cost so far is in excess of 23,000 lira .The government have now taken over this worthwhile project and we just pay for transportation costs.  The old spectacles we appealed for are taken to the poorer villages  so the adults can try them to see if they are suitable to improve their eyesight. These villagers are not able to pay to go to an optician so anything which can help is appreciated We realise it isn't the ideal option to not have eyes tested but it is better than nothing and we can only concentrate on the children for whom  the charity was originally set up for

No problem Mavis,

we will probably leave them with Angel this time...

will she let you know she has them or are you there regularly..

we arrive 23rd Sept so will take them there on the 25th when we have our bikes..

We restart the charity sales again on the first Wednesday in September but they can always be left with Angel as  she will send one of the "boys" with them when we open.

Is posting an option for the glasses?  I have a friend works in specsavers and if they have any old pairs I would be happy to post them out to you.
