I've heard so much about Uzumlu from other CBF members that I'd like to visit the village,but I'd like to know what there is of interest within walking distance within the village i.e sigtseeing, place to eat drink, relax, take some great photos etc + we would probably get there via taxi(4 adults)and come back back to Calis by dolmus via Fethiye,so any help with how often the dolmus runs & how late would be a great help. Is there enough places in Uzumlu to occupy a full day visit ? We would be coming to Calis, 28/06/12 - 14/07/12.The reason for giving the dates is because,as you know, the bus timetables seem to change in summer.

I think if you are going to explore Uzumlu you should ask the dolmus driver just to wait till you've done it

Don't go there on a weekday 'cos it'll be closed, and on Saturdays and Sundays it's shut.

Its very pretty but is quite small. If you like walking you can do a leisurely stroll around the outskirts of the whole village as well as the small village square area and take photos but it wont take very long really.
You could combine it with one of the craft fair days at the Winehouse,which are advertised on here,it has a lovely terrace in summer to relax, or you could go up on Tuesday and join in the quiz at the Winehouse at 8pm and help raise money for Animal Aid at the same time : )

I don't know anything about other restaurants in the village but sure someone can make some recommendations, and hopefully someone can advise times of dolmus's.

Market day is a Friday morning, but don't expect the village market to be like Fethiye. Very small, but there is a truck with live trout.

I don't think so Calvin, I am stuck between the friday market or the nightlife.
If I went to friday market, wander round the village until lunch, lunch in the winehouse but would I still be standing for the nightlife??
