HI all,

Hope all is well Pookie?

Calvin, We always stop to watch the football as well if on during our bike ride`s arond the village (bar crawl).

We luv it and can not wait to move out full time. only another 11 years to go.........

See you all in two weeks

Have it all planned.

Land in antalya, overnight eat out in old town.
Drive over mountain to Fethiye.
Migros for some stuff and lunch next door.

Then five days and nights in our wonderland.

Across mountains again, overnight in antalya then fly home.

What a week we will have.

:D

We took the dolmus to Uzumlu last May. We loved the drive up, the quaintness of the village and the old buildings. We walked all around and are stil curious about the lone little gravestone we spootted under a tree in a field.
It has an intersting slant too with the modern new builds around.
Would do it again and do the walk to Cadianda next time.
:D

I had no idea there was so much to see in Uzumlu. In it's honour I have made it one of the "places to visit" in Fethiye.co.uk's section, "places to visit". I have used all the facts from this very topic to show what a treasure it is.

fethiye.co.uk/about-fethiye/places-to-visit/151-uzumlu-village-and-its-many-attractions.html

Sadly just a temporary article, I have now removed it

I have just spent some time in Uzumlu. As a keen photographer I found lots to do for my fix but imho I would say 1/2 a day would be more than enough without your own transport. The road out to Cadianda & beyond has some beautiful scenery. There are some pics of Uzumlu in my topic here: {A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}45545

Keith: You have me in stitches, as per normal, what a superb soh!
