Public workers in Turkey to strike

It has been reported on the news that public workers are to strike for 36 hours - starting at noon on Tuesday - today it will carry on through Wednesday.

This was first posted 7 hours ago and the news channels seem to indicate it is going ahead.

The main reason for posting is that some people may want to be aware this may affect airports and flights.

Did it go ahead? I haven't heard of anything apart from it was planned.
