Love History and was lucky enough to have a great teacher in my last years at school  He brought history alive and I looked forward to his lessons.   I suppose, in part that is why I went into the business as my job has always involved history.
I loved seeing the Topkapi Palace, my favourite place in Istanbul.  The place was fascinating and I will definitely go back on our next visit.  The spoon makers diamond was amazing  All those jewels made our Crown Jewels pale into insignificance.   The buildings  in the Palace where so beautiful and the views wonderful.

I think history gets more interesting the more of it you have lived through.

Amazing how the Ottoman Empire, The Holy Roman Empire, The Soviet Union and The British Empire all collapsed.

That reminds me, has the Good 'Ol USA of A re-opened yet?

 ;)
