Headbangers and Mash
« on: January 15, 2014, 18:46:14 PM »
If you are looking for something different to do on Valentines night, then look no further, the 3C’s are inviting you to get your rocks off to a “Head-bangers and Mash – Valentines Bash”.

Forget the traditional romantic meal and roses, the Çalış based children’s charity are holding the alternative  Valentine “do” suitable for everyone, where you can get into the groove and rock the night away to all your old time favourite anthems. Add to that a traditional meal of bangers, mash and onion gravy plus a delicious sweet; it should be a great night - and all for only 25 TL!

And if you really want to feel the vibes, hunt through your wardrobes for your denim, loons and rock chick gear as there will be a prize for the best dressed rockers (although fancy dress is optional).

The alternative evening will be held at Vojo’s restaurant on Çalış seafront on Friday 14 February.  Tickets will go on sale on Friday at the 3C’s charity shop at the Eyna restaurant, at Vojo’s or you can ring the charity phone 0536 373 9520 to reserve

Tickets are starting to go nicely for this event but they are strictly limited to 80 so if you would like to go please make sure you book early.

We have now confirmed  the meal with Vojos and it is real traditional - bangers, mash, cabbage and onion gravy (there is a veggy option but we need to know in advance if you want this) followed by apple crumble and Birds custard   :)

Vojos are also kindly donating a meal for 2 people for the raffle - thanks Volkan and Jo.

Tickers which are 25tl each are now  on sale at the 3C's charity shop, at Vojos or you can ring 0536 373 9520 to reserve.

If you are looking for a alternative and inexpensive Valentines night treat, then there are still some tickets left for the 3C's "Bangers and Mash" Valentine's bash.

Instead of the traditional expensive romantic meal and roses, the Çalış based children’s charity are holding their alternative  Valentine “do” suitable for everyone, couples and singles alike.

The fun evening will be held at Vojo’s restaurant on Çalış seafront on Friday 14 February. You are invited to dance the night away to popular 60/70s hits  as well as your favourite rock anthems. Add to that a delicious traditional meal of sausages, mash, cabbage and onion gravy (there will be a vegetarian option available if you notify the organizers in advance) and a delicious dessert of home-made apple crumble and Birds custard, it should be a great evening and all for only 25TL – of which 5TL of the ticket price goes to help fund one of the 3C’s children’ projects.

Later in the evening the staff at Vojos will be inviting you to “put another dime in the juke box baby” by joining them in karaoke to help swell the funds for the local children. Tickets are now on sale at the 3C’s charity shop at the Eyna restaurant, at Vojo’s Restaurant or you can ring the charity phone 0536 373 9520 to reserve

Hi Joanna, they are really nice home made chicken sausages from the sausage man at Kargi - so no problems for those who do not eat pork   :)

That was exactly my concern as we are thinking of bringing a group of non pork eaters! Thanks so much  :)

Sorry we didn't make it clear. We had already thought of the pork  issue and decided to play safe with chicken - and  Kargi sausages are delicious   :)

Thanks to the Vojos team for a great meal last night - good old fashioned traditional bangers and mash (hot and plenty of it) followed by great apple crumble and custard (just ask "2 puds Jenny" ;)  - this must go on the specials menu.
A big thanks for making us so welcome and special thanks to Volkan for being DJ and Karaoke king for the night.
