Grand National Sweepstake 2014
« on: March 02, 2014, 21:24:01 PM »
It's hard to believe but it's that time of the year again.

We have managed to have some fun with this for the last two years so I thought we could do the same again this year.

The way it works is that I will allocate each of the 40 runners with a number randomly.

Members who want to participate simply pick the number(s) between 1 and 40 they want. I then publish the list of the runners and the CBF member whose number corresponds to them just before the race.

The price of a horse this year is £ 5.00 and the winner will receive a prize to the value of £ 20.00.

It's not too early to pick your number - so book early to avoid disappointment.

I would say, that after I  got my horse last year I decided to back it.  I got my husband to put the bet on.  I won £110.00. Because my horse came first.  I called into the betting shop and collected the money myself I was so pleased with my win and had no idea (as I know nothing about betting) that i would get so much.
So, I would recommend everyone to get involved with this great charity event that Highlander is running.
H I will have No.26. and if it's allowed to have two horses (I don't want to be greedy) I will also have No.3.
